Maurice W. Whitson, 92, of the Bayview section, a retired metalsmith, died Oct. 1, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Whitson was born in Portsmouth. He had retired from the Naval Air Station in 1965 after 37 years of service. He was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. He also attended Colonial Heights Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Whitson of Norfolk; five cousins, Louise Whitson Oliver and Virginia Whitson, both of Vero Beach, Fla., Elizabeth Whitson Bower of Chesapeake, Evelyn Forrest and Mary Burch, both of Poquoson, Va.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Dr. David N. Clay and Minister Steve Jones. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
