VADIE HOLLEY

Vadie Holley, 69, of the first block of Lexington Drive, died Sept. 29, 1994, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

Mrs. Holley was born in Nacodochus, Texas. She was the widow of Walter J. Holley and was a former member and Mother of Holy Light Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth. She was a member of United Full Gospel Revival Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Juanita Toxey and Princeola Holley, both of Portsmouth and Mary Joyce Clemons of Houston, Texas; a son, Albert Holley of Portsmouth; two brothers, the Rev. L.V. Whitaker and Elton Whitaker, both of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a very special cousin, Annie Mae Bailey of California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Garden of Prayer 4, Church of God in Christ, 1409 Marshall Ave., Portsmouth, by Pastor Dallas Ellis and Pastor Janet Ellis. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
