Charles Edward Hyman of the 3200 block of Silina Drive died Oct. 2, 1994, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mr. Hyman was born in Princess Anne County and was retired from the City of Virginia Beach. He was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his mother and father, Mamie Hyman and Amos Hyman Sr. of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Margie Moore, Mary Hyman, Jeanette Smith, Joyce James and Margaret Gary, all of Virginia Beach; a half-sister, Marlyn White of Norfolk; four brothers, Thomas Lee Hyman, Amos Hyman Jr., Michael Hyman and Eugene Hyman, all of Virginia Beach; a half-brother, Toy Bell of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in New Jerusalem COGIC, Virginia Beach, by Dr. Barnett K. Thouroughgood. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is handling arrangements.
