Pamela Garner Culbreth, 31, of Roanoke, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994.
A native of Vienna, Va., she graduated from St. Ann's-Belfield School in Charlottesville and attended Greensboro College.
She is survived by a son, Zachary Robert Culbreth of Roanoke; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Garner of Roanoke; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dale Garner of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowry Williams of Oxford, N.C.; paternal grandmother, Ruth Garner of Raleigh; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Don Park of Greensboro, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. James Wilkerson of Oxford, N.C.; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
A service of celebration and remembrance will be held at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, Roanoke, at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Participating clergy will be Dr. Donald Roberts and the Rev. Walter M. Lockett of Roanoke, Dr. Larry Tingle of Woodbridge and Bishop C.P. Minnick Jr. of Raleigh, N.C. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Downtown Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. today and immediately following the service in the Harmon Room at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to either the Hospice Fund of Roanoke Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 13367, Roanoke, Va. 24033 or the Brass Hands Fund (to benefit AIDS projects), P.O. Box 1472, Roanoke, Va. 24007.
