Noel R. Emmerich, 53, of the 1600 block of Whitethorne Road, died Oct. 2, 1994, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Mr. Emmerich was born in Newton, Ill., and was employed with the transportation department of Trans World Airlines. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, and Knights of Columbus of Illinois.
Survivors include his wife, Nenette L. Emmerich; two sons, Christopher Emmerich of Lake in the Hills, Ill., and Michael Emmerich and wife, Elaine, of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Clare Barkley and Joan Haynes Kelly of Urbana, Ill., Lolly Kerans of Newton, Ill.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by Father Paschal N. Kneip, OSB. Burial will be in Newton, Ill., at a later date. Visitation will be at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, 5184 Princess Anne Road, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
