David Earl Williams Sr., 53, of the 1000 block of Livingston Ave., died Oct. 3, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Williams was born in Bertie County, N.C. He was employed with Norshipco as an NDT supervisor for 28 years. He was a member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church and Elizabeth Masonic Lodge 34, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara ``Bobbie'' Williams; three sons, David Earl Williams Jr, Billy Williams and Jeffery Scott Williams, all of Chesapeake; his mother, Helen Swain Williams of Merryhill, N.C.; four sisters, Faye Lages of Windsor, N.C., Flossie Eure of Elizabeth City, Joyce Kessler of Glen Burnie, Md., and Geraldine Forehand of Portland, Tenn.; three brothers, W.W. ``Bill'' Williams of Windsor, N.C., Donald Williams of Durham, N.C., and Ronald Williams of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and one grandchild, Jesse Aron Williams of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. M. Wayne Snead. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor, N.C. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at the home of his mother, Helen Swain Williams in Merryhill, N.C., on Wednesday afternoon prior to the graveside services at 3 p.m.
