Lubie Branch, 92, of the 1800 block of Richmond Ave., died Oct. 2, 1994, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mrs. Branch was born in Branchville, Va., and was the widow of Thomas Branch. She was a former member of Rising Star Baptist Church in Branchville.
Survivors include four daughters, Carrie Spruill of Newport News, Christine Pope of Suffolk, Novella Council and Annie Vaughan, both of Portsmouth; two sons, James Bradshaw of Portsmouth and Joe Bradshaw of Smithfield; 46 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Jack Branch of Baltimore, Frances Joyner of Portsmouth and Eva Barnes and Eunice House, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home by the Rev. John Murell. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
