Jane Margaret O'Brien, president of Hollins College in Roanoke, has been elected to the board of directors of Landmark Communications Inc. O'Brien, president of the private woman's college since 1991, also serves on the boards of Norfolk Southern Corp., the Council of Independent Colleges of Virginia and the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges.
