Mary Louise Barber Marriner, 61, of Holiday Island, died Monday, Oct. 3, 1994, in the Albemarle Hospital.
A native of Pasquotank County, Mrs. Marriner was a daughter of the late John Nicholas and Mary Collett Jones Barber.
Mrs. Marriner is survived by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Marriner; one daughter, Elizabeth Timms of Holiday Island-Hertford; two sons and their wives, Benjamin Todd and Myrtis Marriner of South Mills and William ``Pete'' and Denise Marriner of Holiday Island-Hertford; one sister, Charlotte Trower of Chesapeake; three brothers, John N. Barber and Charles A. Barber, both of Chesapeake, and Robert W. Barber of Hertford; four grandchildren, Sherry Taylor, Jason Marriner, Allen Marriner and Ashley Marriner; two stepgrandchildren, Kelly and Jeffery Sawyer; two great-grandchildren, Lance and Christopher Taylor; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Christopher Stevenson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Faith Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Dwayne Campbell. Williford-Barham Funeral Home, Edenton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Albemarle Regional Cancer Center, 1144 N. Road St., Elizabeth City, N.C. 27909.
