CAROLINE W. THOMAS

Caroline Walker Thomas, 73, of the 300 block of Green St., died Oct. 3, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Thomas was a native of Portsmouth and was the widow of John H. Thomas Sr. She was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church, Portsmouth, United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the Revolution.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane Sullivan of Atlanta; two sons, Eric W. Pollard III of Oswego, N.Y. and John H. Thomas Jr. of Nacogdoches, Texas; a brother-in-law, Jerry Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Eric Pollard IV, Jeffrey Pollard, John H. Thomas III and Amanda Thomas.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Oak Grove Cemetery by the Rev. Raymond Edmonds. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.
