ANNETTE LADD

Annette Ladd, 95, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive, widow of Colonel John Gardner Ladd, died Oct. 4, 1994, in her residence.

Born Annette Estelle Thomas Steel in Mechanicsburg, Pa., she was a member of a well-known newspaper publishing family. She was a graduate of George Washington University with B.A. and M.A. degrees, and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority at the University.

She is survived by two daughters, Annette Guion, wife of Lt. Colonel James L. Guion, and Martha Allee, wife of Professor David J. Allee of Cornell University; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in Westminster-Canterbury in Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery Tuesday, Oct. 11. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Davis Memorial Goodwill Industries, 2200 S. Dakota Ave. N.E., Washington, D.C.
