John Hume Taylor III, 25, a graphic designer, died Tuesday at his home in Richmond.
A native of Norfolk, he was the son of J. Hume Taylor Jr. and Martha P. Taylor of Norfolk.
He is survived by his parents; his brothers and sisters, Martha McRee Kane of Charlottesville and Richard C. Taylor and Mary P. Taylor of Norfolk; his brother-in-law, Timothy Joe Kane of Charlottesville; his nephew, Taylor Kiehl Semler of Charlottesville; his grandmothers, Cecelia A. Taylor of Norfolk and Martha Justice Pender of Virginia Beach; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
He was a graduate of Norfolk Academy, where he won the Bell Art Award as a senior, and of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he won awards for photography. He was a graphic designer for Tuff Stuff Publications, Incorporated, a Cadmus Company.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Infant Home at 317 Chapel Street, Norfolk, Va., or to a favorite charity.
