Barbara Ellis Higdon, 51, of the 500 block of 3rd Ave., died Oct. 5, 1994, in Obici Hospital.
Mrs. Higdon was born in Suffolk. She was the widow of Allen Higdon and was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Jeanne Pittard of Suffolk; and her mother, Martha Sitterson Ellis of Suffolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Bruce A. Havens and Dr. Robert B. Marr. Friends may join the family at Hill Funeral Home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
