JAMES H. WALDEN JR.

James H. Walden Jr., 70, of the first block of Suburban Parkway, died Oct. 2, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mr. Walden was born in Scotland Neck, N.C., and was a retired servant of God. He was a member of the Male Usher Board and The Sons of Norfolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Antoinette Wilson of Newport News and Eartha Walden of Norfolk; three sons, Donnell Walden of Norfolk, James D. Walden of South Carolina and Stanley Walden of the Netherlands; a sister, Shirley Simpson of Norfolk; three brothers, Virtrice Walden and Wilbert Walden of Norfolk and Leon Walden of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon today in Mount Zion Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. Charles Hart. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 908 Portland St., Chesapeake, at 11:15 a.m. today for the processional to the church.
