Scott Edward Whitfield, 19, of the 25000 block of Bows and Arrows Road, died Oct. 6, 1994, in Chesapeake.
He was a native of Norfolk and son of Peggy Blount Briley of Zuni and Steven E. Whitfield of Norfolk. He was an electrician apprentice and a 1993 graduate of Deep Creek High School.
He is also survived by a brother, Christopher E. Whitfield of Windsor; maternal grandparents, Joy Evans of Hialeah, Fla. and Bryon A. Blount of Miami; stepmother, Milissa Whitfield of Norfolk; stepfather, Tony M. Briley of Zuni; a half-sister, Cindy Melson of Pocomoke City, Md.; and two half-brothers, Steven Whitfield Jr. of Chesapeake and Andrew L. Whitfield of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Michael Brewer. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
