Elizabeth C. Powell, 87, of Virginia Beach, a retired school teacher, died Oct. 6, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Powell, a native of Huntington, W.Va., was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach. She was a member of the Needlework Guild and a volunteer at Virginia Beach General Hospital for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Powell Sr.; a son, Charles E. Powell Jr. of Washington, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Kelly F. Powell, B. Elizabeth Powell, Anne G. Powell and Charles E. Powell III.
A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by Dr. J. Scottie Griffin. Burial will be Monday in Resthaven Cemetery in Frederick, Md. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
