Alf Floyd Vick Jr., 73, a resident of Wakefield, died Friday, Oct. 7, 1994, at his home.
Mr. Vick was a native of Southampton County and was the son of the late Alf F. Sr. and Annie Joyner Vick. He was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church, the Wakefield Masonic Lodge (NU)198, AF & AM, and the Wakefield Sportsman's Club. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. and was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Rollings Vick; a son, Mark Owen Vick; daughter-in-law, Linda B. Vick; a grandson, Mark Owen Vick Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with Masonic rites will be held in Wakefield Cemetery on Sunday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. James Hennings. The family will receive friends at their home on 217 Savedge Ave., Wakefield. Memorial donations may be made to Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad or to Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is handling arrangements.
