Robert Locare Whitehurst Jr., 31, of the 600 block of W. 26th St., a welder, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center.
Mr. Whtehurst was born in Robersonville, N.C., where he was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church. He was employed with Norfolk Welding Co.
Survivors include a son, Robert Thomas Lucas; his mother, Norma Boston Whitehurst of Norfolk; his father, Robert L. Whitehurst of Robersonville; two sisters, Cynthia W. Butts and Bonnie Whitehurst, both of Norfolk; a brother, Capt. Darrell Whitehurst of Kileen, Texas; maternal grandmother, Matilda Boston of Robersonville; a sister-in-law, Tanya Whitehurst; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview Ave., by Elder Luther Ferrebee. Viewing will be today from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will assemble at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
