MARC A. SATER

Marc Alan Sater, 39, of the 3100 block of Morningside Dr., died October 7, 1994 of a brain tumor. He was a teacher at Deerpark Pathways Alternative High School in Newport News. He was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Sater, a native of Indianapolis, IN., received his B.A. Degree in Liberal Studies at the University of Louisville and moved to the Tidewater area in 1987.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela B. Smith, M.D.; two sons, Michael Scott Sater and Daniel Alexander Sater; and one daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Sater all of Chesapeake. Other survivors include his parents, Charles and Suzanne Sater of Indianapolis; a sister, Lee Keeling of Louisville; a brother, Eric Sater of Indianapolis; and grandmothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, at the Unitarian Church, 739 Yarmouth St., Norfolk by Chaplain Richard Hill. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements. The family will be receiving visitors at their home Monday, October 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to The Williams School, 419 Colonial Ave., Norfolk, VA 23507.
