Mrs. Clyde J. Anderton, 85, of the 4900 block of West Norfolk Road, died October 8, 1994.
She was a native of Emporia, and was the wife of the late William I. Anderton. She was a homemaker, and a member of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances A. Forrest of Chesapeake; two sons, William A. Anderton of Portsmouth, and Gene Holland Anderton of Summerville, S.C.; one sister, Laura E. Browne of Portsmouth; one brother, Marvin Epps of Emporia; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel by Dr. U.G. Robertson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
