Gladys Thelma Philbrick Hill, 85, of the 500 block of York Street, died October 8, 1994, in Hillhaven-Nansemond Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. A native of Wakefield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Arthur Alonza Philbrick and Ella Belle Hall Philbrick.
Mrs. Hill was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, William W. Hill; two sons, James Arthur Hill of Elizabeth City, N.C., and William Nathan Hill of Suffolk; two granddaughters, Laura Hill and Dawn Hobbs; and one grandson, Nathan Hill, all of Suffolk; and two nieces, Barbara Duke of Richmond and Alyce Cole of Wilson, N.C.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Bruce A. Havens and the Rev. Cecil Deel. The family will be at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church, 216 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434. R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
