ELLEN H. RYAN

Ellen Hoggard Ryan of the 1200 block of W. Princess Anne Road died Oct. 9, 1994, at her home.

Mrs. Ryan was the daughter of the late H. Page and Ellen Bell Hoggard of Norfolk. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk. Mrs. Ryan was a past member of The Vestry of St. Paul's Episcopal Church; The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America; the Garden Club of Norfolk; the Westover Garden Club; the Junior League of Norfolk; and the Louise Royster Circle of the King's Daughters.

Survivors include her husband, The Honorable Edward L. Ryan Jr.; two daughters, Ellen Ryan Pearson of Norfolk and Mary Page Ryan Howle of Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren, Ellen Bell Pearson, Dorothy Nash Pearson, John Edward Pearson, Paul Williamson Howle IV and Mary Page Howle; two sons-in-law, John Yeardley Pearson Jr. and Paul Williamson Howle III.

A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Rev. Hugh White. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The St. Paul's Memorial Fund. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk chapel, is handling arrangements.
