BLANCHE F. TAYLOR

Blanche Fairless Taylor, 83, of Raleigh, died Sunday.

A native of Harrellsville, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh Watson Fairless and Josephine E. Valentine. She attended Mars Hill College. Prior to moving to Raleigh in 1957, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newton, N.C. In Raleigh, she was a member of the Forest Hills Baptist Church and the Maranatha Friendship Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her sons, Dr. Julian R. Taylor of Ahoskie, Joseph C. Taylor of Raleigh and James E. Taylor of Raleigh; a sister, Elizabeth Gillam of Harrellsville; a brother, Seaton Poe Fairless of Colerain; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Raleigh Memorial Park. Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, St. Mary's St., is handling arrangements.
