NICHOLAS CHRISTIE

Nicholas Christie, 74, died Oct. 10, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Christie was born in Morfou, Cyprus. He was the retired owner of The Mall Restaurant in Norfolk and was a member of Greek Orthodox Church-Annunciation, Norfolk. He was also a member of American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association and Cyprus Benevolent Society. He served in Greece as an interpretor in the British Army in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Maroula Christie; two daughters, Anna Christie Manning of Chesapeake and Melina Christie Henry of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Maria Chris of Norfolk, Helen Neskis and her husband, Andrew, of Virginia Beach and Persa Mavromatis and her husband, Jack, of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law, Helen Christie of Virginia Beach; and 16 nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Greek Orthodox Church-Annunciation by the Rev. Father Constantine Rogakos, Father Charles Goumenis and Father Savas Constantinou. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Trisagion service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, at 6 p.m. today.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the church or to the Cyprus Children Fund Inc., 13 E. 40th St., New York, N.Y. 10016. We thank the staff of Hillhaven Nursing Home, First Colonial Road, for their loving care. May God bless them.
