Lawyers Title Corp., holding company for Lawyers Title Insurance Corp., headquartered in Richmond, said it has agreed to a merger with Dallas-based American Title Group Inc. ATG's Texas title and closing operations include Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin. The company also has a Texas title insurance underwriter subsidiary, Title Insurance Company of America (TICA), headquartered in Dallas. All of these operating units will be merged with a subsidiary of Lawyers Title Corporation. The ATG operations being acquired generate approximately $60 million in annual revenues. by CNB
