CANDIDATES FORUM: Political office-seekers for Pasquotank County and regional seats will square off at a 7 p.m. forum Thursday at the Kermit E. White Graduate Center.

Invited candidates include those running for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 1st and 3rd Districts, the North Carolina House of Representatives, district court and other judgeships, Pasquotank County sheriff and Pasquotank County commissioner.

KILL DEVIL HILLS

POLICE SEEK HELP: Dare County Community Crime Line and the Kill Devil Hills Police Department are asking for help in solving the theft of a boat motor.

Sometime between Sept. 29 and Oct. 5, a new, 25-horsepower, Evinrude outboard motor was stolen from a boat on Pirate's Loop in Kill Devil Hills.
