Several times yearly, NAS/NS Norfolk makes a concerted effort to clean up the bases. But except for President Clinton's visit and air shows, such clean-up activities are rarely observed.
If other services can do it, especially the Marine Corps, why cannot the Navy keep its bases neat and clean on a year-round basis for the personnel who work and live there rather than sporadic flails for visitors?
