Douglas Francis ``Poppy'' Talbot, 85, a retired construction superintendent, died Oct. 11, 1994, in Virginia Beach Health Care and Rehab Center.
Mr. Talbot was born in Beacon, N.Y., and was the widower of Margaret Veronica O. Talbot. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Swager of Chesapeake; two sons, Douglas W. Talbot Sr. and Richard Talbot, both of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Parish, 1396 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach, by Father Thomas Caroluzza. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Dialysis Center, 700 Monticello Ave., Norfolk; Virginia Beach Health Care and Rehab Center (Camelot Hall), 1801 Camelot Drive, Virginia Beach; Courthouse Rescue Squad, Virginia Beach.
