JUDY E. OWENS

Judy Elaine Owens of the 2000 block of Barbara Lee Court died Oct. 7, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mrs. Owens was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and was an assistant supervisor-prayer counselor at CBN. She was a member of Rock Church, Virginia Beach, and Intercessory Prayer Ministry, and was a member of Peaceful COGIC, Hawaii, where she was mother of the church, a member of Operation Blessing of Hawaii and City of Refuge, Hawaii.

Survivors include her husband, Marion Owens Sr.; four daughters, Ravonda Michelle Owens, Kim Alicia Owens, Karen Elaine Owens and Mariam Renee Owens-Lee, all of Virginia Beach; a son, Marion Richardson Owens Jr. of Virginia Beach; her mother, Anna Copeland, and father, Henry Copeland, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; five sisters, Joyce Smith of Lawty, Fla., Brenda King and Miranda Bibbs, both of Jacksonville, Rolanda Baker of Miami and Susan Sabin of Alberleen, Texas; two stepsisters, Willie Mae Moore and Elmore Martin, both of New York; four brothers, Carlton Baker of Jacksonville, Daryl Baker and Ricky Baker, both of Miami, and Tony Baker of Langley, Va.; a stepbrother, William Baker Jr. of New York; maternal grandparent, Johnnie M. Gullatt of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Alicia Owens, Jeremiah Owens-Austin, Elizabeth Owens-Touchon, and David Owens-Lee, all of Virginia Beach; and an aunt, Verdie M. Cruse of Jacksonville.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Rock Church by Bishop John Gimenez. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. Thursday for the processional. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
