Patricia Olive Carter, 69, of the 8600 block of Chesapeake Blvd., a retired bookkeeper, died Oct. 11, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Carter was born in Detroit. She was the widow of David Lee Carter Sr. and was retired from L & M Upholstery in Norfolk.
Survivors include five daughters, Barbara Watson and Peggy Arsenault, both of Virginia Beach, Sharon Herman of Norfolk, Tracy Williams of Chesapeake and Linda Hamkens of North Dakota; three sons, David L. Carter Jr. of Frederick, Md., Myron N. Carter and Ronnie Wells, both of Norfolk; four sisters, June Barksdale of Virginia Beach, Virginia Cook of Camden, S.C., Clara Roberts of Raleigh, N.C., and Karen Wilkins of Lexington Park, Md.; a brother, Myron G. Hatch of Virginia Beach; 26 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Scott Ecklind. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
