A month-long investigation by the Dare County Sheriff's Office and the State Bureau of investigation led to the arrest of two men who were charged with trafficking in drugs, Sheriff Bert Austin said Tuesday.
Charged were Arthur Harris, 28, of Sycamore Lane in Elizabeth City and Carey Winslow, 24, of Winfall, Austin said.
They were arrested Friday night in a parking lot at the Marketplace in Southern Shores after selling two ounces of crack cocaine to an undercover officer from the sheriff's office, Austin said.
