Regarding the letter from Mary Ann Bromley (Oct. 3) relating how it took five days to receive a ``certified'' letter:
I had a similar experience a few months ago. My in-laws sent me a letter ``Priority Mail'' from Florida. At the same time they mailed me a regular letter. It took only two days to receive the 29-cent letter and six days to receive the $2.29 ``Priority Mail'' letter. The address was correct.
I think Ms. Bromley has the right idea: It might be wise to invest in a fax machine.
