I was very impressed by a recently received letter from Oliver North offering me the ``honor'' of serving on the Oliver North Senate Advisory Board. Just think what that title would mean! Here I am in my old age, after having served my country in World War II, being sought after to be on his advisory board. I am overwhelmed!
To receive the autographed photo of his entire family was something else. I wonder if it's the same as the one he carries with him as he ``works 12-14 hours a day six days a week to win this election'' and in fulfilling his promise to ``make whatever sacrifice is needed in terms of time, travel, loss of sleep and time away from my family''?
Well, Ollie, thanks but no thanks. No way. You scare me with your charisma and folksy, do whatever it takes, manner.
I definitely decline the ``honor.''

The Oliver North campaign really is searching for funds when it sends a letter inviting a dead man to contribute and be on its advisory board.
Buying charity lists is, in my opinion, the height of greed. That must be how the campaign got my son's name since he had not been a resident of Virginia for more than 20 years.
One more reason why I will not vote for Ollie.
