William C. Griffin Jr., 63, of the 900 block of Sherman Lane, a retired bricklayer, died Oct. 8, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Griffin was born in Chesapeake, son of the late Ronnie and William Griffin. He was retired from C.E. Thurston after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Griffin; three daughters, Charlotte Trotter and Fetima Ellison, both of Norfolk, and Attilah Griffin of Chesapeake; four sons, Horace L. Fields of Virginia Beach, William Griffin of Chesapeake, Willie Griffin of Hampton and Cardozia Sears of Norfolk; a sister, Bernice Williams of Norfolk; a brother, Robert Griffin of Chesapeake; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three daughters-in-law; and three sons-in-law.
A funeral will be at noon Saturday in First Baptist Church South Hill, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Virginia Beach. Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
