John Wayne ``Butch'' Sessor, 49, of the 600 block of Ranchland Drive, died Tuesday at his residence.
Mr. Sessor was born in Saltville, Va. and was the son of the late Johnny G. and Hazel B. Sessor. Mr. Sessor retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief, First Class after 20 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee Sessor; one daughter, Christine Aldridge of Frankfort, Ky.; one son, Alan Sessor of Moyock; one sister, Brenda Sessor of Moyock; three brothers, Charles E. Sessor of Virginia Beach and Michael E. Sessor and Roger P. Sessor, both of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren, Erica, Samantha, and Philip Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Moyock Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
