FRANK B. PAYTON JR.

BMCS Frank B. Payton Jr., USN (Ret.), 69, of the 8200 block of Simons Drive, died Oct. 11, 1994, in Norfolk.

He was born in Troy, N.Y., and was retired from the Navy after 30 years. He had also worked at Norshipco Security for eight years. He was a member of Norfolk Masonic Lodge (NU)1, Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple and Arab Patrol. He was a veteran of World War II and Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Paula N. Payton; two sons, Michael G. Payton and Patrick L. Payton, both of Norfolk; a brother, Edward J. Payton of Chino, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Minister Steve Jones. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Military honors will be accorded at the grave. Masonic rites will be conducted at the funeral home.
