Etna M. Edwards, 92, of the 1000 block of Kittrell St., a housewife, died Oct. 11, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Henderson, N.C. She was the widow of Lorenzo Edwards and was a member of Oakwood Chapel Church of Christ Disciples, Norfolk. She received Church Mother honors.
Survivors include three sons, Carvin C. Edwards of Norfolk, William H. Edwards and Andrew L. Edwards, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Louise Edwards of Norfolk and Shirley Edwards of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two nephews, James Alston and Kirby Winstead, both of Henderson, N.C.; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Oakwood Chapel Church of Christ Disciples, Norfolk, by Pastor C.N. White. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Henderson, N.C. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1055 Kittrell St. The funeral procession will leave the residence at 11:30 a.m. for the church. Garnes Funeral Service Inc. will handle burial services in Henderson, N.C. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
