A 26-year-old Virginia Beach woman was robbed and raped Tuesday afternoon after making a delivery at a convenience store at 1902 Des Moines Ave., police said.
The attack occurred about 4:15 p.m. in the parking lot of Brown's Market.
The woman told police that she had returned to her van after making a delivery when a heavyset black man wearing a dark sweat suit entered the van through the open side door. The man pulled a knife, held it to the woman's throat and demanded money.
After taking her money, the man pushed her onto the floor of the van and raped her, the woman told police. The suspect fled, she said.
The man was described as 28 to 31 years old with a dark complexion and a mustache.
