I commend Joe C. Taylor (letter, Sept. 27) for his truthful, sensible and logical letter about abolishing parole.
Having had two crime victims in my family (one a murder), I have felt for a long time that getting tough on criminals is long overdue. Decent people of all races must get tough on criminals of all races.
It is appalling that we have some elected public officials with such unreasonable, illogical attitudes when it comes to combating crime. It is hard to believe that any intelligent person would vote for these people again.
