Ida Elizabeth Buchanan, 66, of the 100 block of Lynn Drive, died Oct. 13, 1994, in a hospital.
Mrs. Buchanan was a native of Plymouth, N.C., and was the widow of Robert Ray Buchanan. She was a medical assistant for Dr. Harvey Breit and Dr. Lou Waters. She was a member of Park View Christian Disciples of Christ Church and Tidalwave Chapter (NU)9 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie B. Dooley of Suffolk and Diana Allison of Portsmouth; a son, James Robert Buchanan of Portsmouth; two sisters, Eloise Lowman and Juanita Gray, both of Portsmouth; and two grandchildren, Lindsay Elizabeth Dooley and Brittney Michelle Allison.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Park View Christian Disciples of Christ Church by the Rev. Robert Danner. Burial will be in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland. Memorial contributions may be made to Park View Christian Disciples of Christ Church.
