Edward R. Wright, 80, a retired central office repairman, died Oct. 13, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Wright was born in Gary, Ind. He retired from C&P Telephone Co. and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Telephone Pioneers of America - Tidewater Chapter, and C.W.A. Retired Members Club.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Winfree Wright; a son, Gordon E. Wright of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Fran Moody. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at the residence other times. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
