Ruby Mae Hoggard, 52, of the 4900 block of S. Cape Henry Ave., died Oct. 10, 1994, at home.
Ms. Hoggard was born in Norfolk and was an accounting technician for the U.S. Postal Service, Norfolk, where she was employed for 28 years. She was a member of New Central Baptist Church, Norfolk, and was affiliated with the National Alliance of Postal and Federal Employees and was a member of the American Postal Workers Union.
Survivors include two sons, Derrick Hoggard and Kevin Hoggard of Norfolk; four brothers, Alvin and William Frank Hoggard, both of Chesapeake, Clarence Hoggard of Jersey City, N.J., and Edward Hoggard of Rockaway Beach, N.Y.; two sisters, Helen Hoggard of Norfolk and Christine Lawrence of Chesapeake; a grandson, Hudson M. Berry of Petersburg, Va.; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1:30 p.m. in Graves Funeral Home by Dr. H. Edward Whitaker. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at Graves Funeral Home Chapel. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
