Nellie Mae Stewart Pettit Swank of ``Walbrook,'' Frederick's Hall, Louisa County, died Oct. 12, 1994, at home.
Mrs. Swank was born in Ivor, Southampton County, on July 1, 1913, daughter of the late Robert Edward and Ethel Harrell Stewart.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Walbrook Davis Swank, USAF (Ret.); son, Pembroke R. Pettit and wife, Deborah Dymacek Pettit; two granddaughters, Arabella and Leanne Pettit, all of Walbrook; two nieces, Kaye Stewart Hylton of Roanoke and Betty Stewart Ishie of Suffolk; two nephews, William Simpson Beamon III of Ormond Beach, Fla., and John Stewart Beamon of Globe, Ariz.; five great-nieces; two great-nephews; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn Stewart Partridge and Isabelle Pettit Rucker; and a brother-in-law, Overton Pettit. Mrs. Swank was preceded in death by her sisters, Lottie Elsie and Ruth, her brother, Robert, and nephew, Willard Jr.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Church of the Incarnation, Mineral, Va. Burial will be in Bethpage Christian Church Cemetery, Frederick's Hall. The family will receive friends at Walbrook from 2 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Church of the Incarnation, Louisa County Rescue Squad and Bumpass Volunteer Fire Department. Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, is in charge.
