Mrs. Mildred Hall Beasley, 76, of Mint Hill, N.C., formerly of Norfolk, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1994, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. in Trinity Baptist Church, Norfolk, with Dr. Johh P. Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
A Robeson County, N.C., native, Mrs. Beasley was a graduate of Irwin High School in Irwin, N.C., and retired from the Heart Association. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Norfolk, where she taught children for 29 years. She also attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte, where she was a member of the Emmanuel Class. She was a wonderful Christian mother and friend.
Survivors include her son, Mr. James Beasley of Salem, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Deese of Mint Hill; four sisters, Mrs. Lena Jones of Chesapeake, Mrs. Myrtle McAbee of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Shirley Emigh of Sun City West, Ariz., and Mrs. Margaret Mowell of San Antonio, Texas; and five grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Church Children's Department, 2808 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, Va. 23509.
