Leon Roland ``Bobby'' Edwards, 54, of the 8000 block of Proctors Bridge Road, died Oct. 12, 1994, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.
Mr. Edwards was a native of Southampton County, son of the late Daisy Cary Edwards and Elias Edwards Sr. He was employed with Gwaltney Meat Packing Co., Smithfield, and was a former member of New Branch Baptist Church, Ivor.
Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Jackson of Ivor and Rosetta Brinkley of Portsmouth; two brothers, Chester Lee Edwards of Portsmouth and Elias Edwards Jr. of Ivor; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in New Branch Baptist Church, Ivor, by the Rev. Frank Aikens. Burial will be in Gilfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jackson Sr., 8013 Proctor Bridge Road, Ivor, Va. 23866. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling arrangements.
