Janie Dale Nicholson Bryant, 56, of the 500 block of Rodney Lane, died Oct. 13, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Williamston, N.C., and was the widow of William E. Bryant Jr. She was a member of South Norfolk Congegational Christian Church. She was a bowler at Indian River Lanes and she loved to travel.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Gallaher of Virginia Beach; two sons, Nick Bryant and his wife, Joanna, of Virginia Beach and Scott Bryant and his wife, Cheryl, of Chesapeake; her mother, Lillian Nicholson Halvorsen of Norfolk; two sisters, Jean Yates of Arvonia, Va. and Julia Brittan of Virginia Beach; a brother, Ben Nicholson of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren, Jacob, Bryant, Bennett, Austin and Rachel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Willis Dowling and Pastor Mark Yates. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
