Roscoe ``West'' Stewart, 72, of the 1000 block of Sharon Drive, died Oct. 13, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Stewart was born in Charleston, W.Va., and was retired from the Ford Motor Co. after 30 years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Irene C. Stewart; a daughter, Roxanne Stewart and a son, Jerry W. Stewart, both of Elizabeth City; two sisters, Mildred Drake of Akron, Ohio and Betty Stull of Barberton, Ohio; four brothers, Russell Stewart of Corpus Christi, Texas, C.R. Stewart of Kansas City, Mo., Robert Stewart of Mims, Fla., and John Stewart of Pensacola, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Angela B. Stewart and Julia K. Stewart, both of Elizabeth City.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Arthur Wilt. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Military honors will be accorded at the grave.
