ROSA B. SIMPSON

Minister Rosa Belle Simpson, 79, of the 1300 block of Bolton St., died Oct. 13, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was born in Washington County, N.C., and was a minister and homemaker. She was the widow of Charlie Simpson and a member of The Apostolic Soul Saving Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty L. Saunders and Jean Helen Purdy, both of Norfolk; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, L.B. and R.S. Blount.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in The Apostolic Soul Saving Church, 3911 Colley Ave., by the Rev. J.L. Kearney Sr. and the Rev. Naomi Smith. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Virginia Beach. The family will assemble at 1360 Bolton St. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
