CRAFTON AND EDWARDS WIN SCOTCH DOUBLES

Eric Crafton and Pat Edwards fired a 633 series to capture the Scotch Doubles at Franklin Bowl last Saturday. Don and Lynn Blythe placed second with a 612.

It was a big week for John Gray who had not one but two 278 games. He tied with Tim Johnson for high game in the Wednesday Classic League, and won the series with a 725.

Then in the Thursday Men's League, he tied with Bill Bailey for high game, and won the series competition with a 727.

High game and high series honors for the week went to:

Hospital/Medical: Jean Everett, 244 game and 567 series; Thomas Blanton, 224 game and 615 series.

Monday Nite Mixed: Anne Ward, 202; Mollie Bowles, 533; Garvin Holland, 243 and 745.

Monday Industrial: Alex Cowans, 257 and 632.

Club 55: Ann Lowers, 172 and 469; Alexander Blizzard and Max Jenkins, 190; Blizzard, 559.

Mixed Nuts: Chris Cutchins, 205 and 559; Mike Davis, 258; George Hill, 695.

LU ARNETTE of Arnette Properties rolled a 133 game and a 378 series to take top spot in both categories for the Suffolk Mixed Nuts League last week.

Other bowlers above 300 were Bob Gardner, Barton Ford, 352; Miriam Pugh, Golden Corral, 336; Agnes Tate, Arnette Properties, 333; Terrye Bradshaw, JUWACO, 317; Mae Faison, The Vogue; 315; Alan Pugh, Ferguson & Rawls, 310; Cully Arnette, Arnette Properties, 308, and Lynn Morgan, Heilig Meyers, 307.

The Arnette Properties team holds a commanding lead in the league with an 18-2 record. Tied for second are Cornett's Garage, Ferguson & Rawls and JUWACO - all with 11-9 marks.

Golden Corral are even at 10-10 and Barton Ford is next at 7-13. Heilig Meyers and The Vogue are tied for seventh with 6-14 showings.

In the previous week's action, Lynn Morgan of Heilig Meyers had a high game of 136 and Agnes Tate of Arnette Properties rolled the high set of 358.

Other 300 plus sets were Warren Faison, Cornett's Garage, 346; Margaret Holland, Cornett's Garage, 335; Terrye Bradshaw, JUWACO, 329; Alan Pugh, Ferguson & Rawls, 325; Morgan, 319; Sue Forbes, Barton Ford, 316, and Lu Arnette, Arnette Properties, 315.

CONNIE INSLEY OF Suffolk Alignment had a high game 143 and a high series of 357 in the Suffolk Tuesday Night Ladies League this past week.

Others who record 300 plus sets were Margie Bleiler, Morris & Piland, 340; Anita Joyce, Starr Motors, 336; Polly Riddick, Mike Duman, 331; Mary Branchaud, Al Smith, 321; Peggy Cornett, Morris & Piland, 317; Brenda Gregory, Mike Duman, and Louise Brinkley, Suffolk Glass, 316; Joyce Griggs, Starr Motors, 315, and Paulette Johnson, Ocean Threads, 306.

Morris & Piland took a 4-0 victory over G.P. Jackson to gain first place in the league with a 16-8 record. G.P. Jackson fell to 14-10.

Starr Motors, which defeated Suffolk Alignment, 3-1, moved into a tie with the alignment squad. Both have 13-11 marks.

Al Smith trimmed Suffolk Glass, 3-1, and has a 12-12 showing for the season. Ocean Threads fell to 10-14 after a 3-1 loss to Mike Duman, which is tied for seventh spot with Suffolk Glass with 9-15 records. by CNB
