Alice Tucker Lewis, 89, of Yorktown Drive, died Oct. 14, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Woolridge, Tenn. She was a retired teacher in the Norfolk and West Virginia public school systems and was the widow of Bennie Palmer Lewis.
Survivors include a sister, Mercedes Tucker Perkins of Chesapeake; two nieces, Betty P. Pasco of Norfolk and L. Patricia McIntyre of Nashville, Tenn.; and six nephews, Richard L. Perkins and Tom T. Perkins, both of Tyler, Texas, Larry Jarrett of Wheaton, Md., Leslie Jarrett, Jr. of Logan, W.Va., Beverly ``Peb'' Jarrett of Snohomish, Wash., and Elijah K. Tucker of Austin, Texas.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Montevista Cemetery, Bluefield, W.Va. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or CHKD, P.O. Box 2156, Norfolk, Va. 23501-2156 c/o Children's Cancer Fund.
